yoga instructor

"I was at a club in Bratislava for a party with friends and I noticed a poster on the door stating that there would be a yoga class the next day. I had some free time then, I usually stayed at home, did nothing and I was alone. So I forced my friend to go with me to try yoga for the first time."

Susan worked for many years in a corporation. She had an excellent position in the marketing department but over time, she realized she needed a change. While being employed, Susan already started practicing yoga. She got introduced in a very interesting way. As she says herself, she discovered yoga by mistake. "I was at a club in Bratislava for a party with friends and I noticed a poster on the door stating that there would be a yoga class the next day. I had some free time then, I usually stayed at home, did nothing and I was alone. So I forced my friend to go with me to try yoga for the first time, "Susan recalled. And she was very lucky, because she met her future teacher right at this first lesson.

As she says, it was difficult to combine yoga teaching with the marketing world. She worked in these two jobs at the same time 4 days a week. After a few months, she found herself exhausted and had to decide which profession she would prefer. In the end, she decided to give priority to yoga, saying that if it didn't work out, she would return to her marketing job.

Yoga gave her another very valuable experience. "Not only it showed me a new direction for my job, but also I couldn't imagine in my life that I would talk and perform in front of someone. I have been going to a speech therapist since I was three years old, because I don't have good pronunciation, I talk very quickly, I have problems with articulation, people often don't understand me. This is my past and suddenly I become a lecturer. I talk to the masses of people on stages and events. It's a huge discovery for me. In my life, I could not imagine that I would be lecturing something, let alone that I would teach someone something, “says Susan. So yoga showed me a whole new direction in life. Thanks to this experience, she also found out that she has teaching skills and that she enjoys learning and finds it fulfilling.

Susan certainly does not regret her decision to practice yoga. She feels free and enjoys being the master of her time.
